The project surpassed its goal of collecting 85 percent of necessary funding by the end of 2024.  The Lions Club is now moving ahead with the Village of Cross Plains to review construction plans, permits and start bidding. Plans to officially break ground are set for May 2025.

Lion Cathy Barman is seen updating the fundraising sign on the corner of Highway 14 and County P to reflect a $249,000 grant awarded to the Village for this project! An article detailing our fundraising progress was published October 23, 2024 in the Middleton Times Tribune.

On Wednesday, August 28, 2024 the Cross Plains Community Chest voted to donate $10,000 to the Legacy Project. We look forward to adding their name to the donor recognition list at the Pavilion site. Thank you!

Two new signs are up in Cross Plains! Pictured on the left is the sign located at the Pavilion site in Zander Park. A fundraising progress sign is also installed on the corner of Highway 14 and County P.
