To celebrate 100 years of the Lions Club International, the Cross Plains Lion’s Club volunteered to lead the development of a new gathering space to showcase the downtown and beautiful natural resources of Cross Plains.
In 2019, the Club began fundraising and worked with the Village to plan a pavilion described in its comprehensive plan as the "prime Village gathering space and signature destination" for "host to numerous community programs and signature events."
The streamside pavilion is the capstone to the multi-year downtown Zander Park improvement project. Groundbreaking for the project occurred on May 3, 2025.
