To celebrate 100 years of the Lions Club International, the Cross Plains Lion’s Club volunteered to lead the development of a new gathering space to showcase the downtown and beautiful natural resources of Cross Plains.
In 2019, the Club committed to fundraising and working with the Village to build a pavilion described in its comprehensive plan as the "prime Village gathering space and signature destination" for "host to numerous community programs and signature events."
The streamside pavilion is the capstone to the multi-year downtown Zander Park improvement project, and will provide a year-round hub for community activities, outdoor education, events, private functions and local business commerce.
Thanks to generous donors and the Village DNR grant, the Zander Park Pavilion is moving forward! The official groundbreaking ceremony will be held at the site on Saturday, May 3 at 12:15 pm. Join the Lions Club and Village staff as we share the exciting timeline for build and answer questions. More information at the Trout Days website: https://www.crossplainstroutdays.com/
